Day 6 complete it was a nice sunny warm day today, which gave me a chance to take it easy and look around. There where some steep hills, but the good thing about going up is going down. Not very far to go just hope my ankle holds and don’t get any worse.

Day 5 is complete. What a difference good weather makes I really in joyed it today, even thought I have some pain. But it’s all worth it in the end. Only 125km left and its all over, going to do 60km a day now. Being on day 6.

Day 4 complete. Almost 118km the weather today was so much better. Had to stop once to get some deep heat all ok now, got clapped and cheered at the end of a race then they realised I was not in it. Got lost twice. Now feed and getting kids ready for bed. Bring on tomorrow.

Day 3 is finally over 96km of wind and heavy rain at times. I want to say thanks to Dennis in the oak bar in Ballyhaunis for the coffee and donation, after stopping outside he told me to come in out of the rain. Also to Alan in the Corralea court hotel in Tuam for the shower, the small things in life can make a big difference. I can’t believe how nice people on my route have been it renews my faith in people. Thanks everyone. Also to Janet and the kids for following and putting up with me love you all.

Day 2 is complete 92km of cold wind and what felt like all up hill, feeling good. Dinner and a rest now then off again tomorrow.
